Bei der Klein-und-Groß-Führung im Mai können Kinder und Erwachsene zwei außergewöhnliche Krefelder Künstler kennen lernen. Ihr Kunst ist weit über die Grenzen der Stadt bekannt. Wurde für den einen, Will Cassel, der Gartenzwerg zu einem Symbol des Friedens, mit dem er sogar bis in zum Capitol nach Washington reiste, so ließ der andere, Herbert Zangs, manchmal sogar Autoscheibenwischer für sich malen. Hier erleben wir die Bilder beider Künstler ganz spielerisch. Schließlich werden wir zweiten Teil der Führung auch selbst kreativ.

Das FRAC Grand Large—Hauts-de-France (Regionale Fonds für zeitgenössische Kunst) ist zu Gast in Haus Lange Haus Esters. Anlass ist die 50jährige Städte-Partnschaft zwischen Krefeld und Dünkirchen, und so reist in 2025 auch ein Teil der Krefelder Kunstsammlung an die französische Nordküste.

Im Zentrum der aktuellen Ausstellung in HLHE stehen Kunst und Design seit den 1990er Jahren. Die Führungen geben einen Überblick der Schau an den Schnittstellen von Alltag und Avantgarde.
